Dave's Picks | Coney Island Adds Another DASH Of Color!

13 new storefront murals were unveiled

at the People's Playground in Coney Island by 12 artists as part of the Coney Island for Everyone initiative, a partnership between the community group Alliance for Coney Island and the city's Department of Small Business Services.

Alexandra Silversmith, the executive director of Alliance for Coney Island said, "For years I have dreamed of bringing murals and public art to the storefront gates of Coney Island and am so appreciative of the Small Business Services for the funding to make this a reality."

The creative visions from these artists have helped create a vibrant public art gallery for the off-season and at night when businesses are closed. It's a great way to showcase these local NYC artists!

The artwork is intended to brighten up the area and to give Coney Island a revamp which has been devastated by the pandemic. Yet remains STANDING STRONG!

Check out the artwork below - better yet, a reason for you to go see it in person today at Coney Island!
